The demand for fast, efficient and convenient banking services has compelled Nigerian banks into designing and adopting concepts to meet their customers' expectation. A manifestation of this is the new drive of Nigerian banks for electronic banking solutions simply called e-banking.

The activities of Nigerian banks in e-banking have generated and is still generating a lot of questions from the customers and particularly from e-banking enthusiasts in the country. Diverse issues have been raised without precise and practical attempts to provide answers.

The greatest challenge posed to the players in the e-banking and e-payment industry is the dearth of adequate and practical information as well as training about this fast evolving yet dynamic industry, particularly in the middle to lower level hierarchy of bank officers tasked with ebanking responsibility.
