Introduction:

Banks are known to start up very laudable initiatives in the area of electronic payment systems, card business and self- service channels like ATMs,POS,Mobile,Internet etc and after the initial roll out, such initiatives almost permanently become cost centers, though several millions have been expended.

For successful eChannel operators, managers and officers responsible for cards and eChannels need to know and understand processes, tools and techniques required of them to satisfy “the profit motif” as individuals as well as operation teams. They need to understand channel life cycles and their characteristics, the nine knowledge areas as well as the fundamental processes to enable them plan, monitor and properly optimise eChannels projects profitably to the satisfaction of management. Project failures have also been traced to poor initiation and closing.

Objective

Equip participants with project management skills for effective deployment and implementation of e-payment and self-service schemes.
